NOTICE OF CHARTER AMENDMENT BALLOT REFERENDUM LEON COUNTY, FLORIDA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a countywide ballot referendum will be held in Leon County, Florida, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in conjunction with the general election. The following ballot question, placed on the ballot by the Leon County Board of County Commissioners by Ordinance No. 26-05, will appear on the ballot for consideration by the qualified electors of Leon County:


UNIFORM STREET NAMING, RENAMING, AND PROPERTY NUMBERING STANDARDS AS PROPOSED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS


"Shall the Leon County Charter be amended to provide for uniform countywide street naming, renaming, and property numbering standards to be established by county ordinance, which would prevail in the event of a conflict with municipal ordinances, as permitted by law, to support emergency response needs throughout the County?”

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day. Information on voting locations, early voting and vote-by-mail is available from the Leon County Supervisor of Elections at LeonVotes.gov or (850) 606-8683.
