NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a countywide ballot referendum will be held in Leon County, Florida, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in conjunction with the general election. The following ballot question, placed on the ballot by the Leon County Board of County Commissioners by Ordinance No. 26-06, will appear on the ballot for consideration by the qualified electors of Leon County:
COUNTY ORDINANCES TO PREVAIL OVER MUNICIPAL ORDINANCES AS PROPOSED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
"Shall the Leon County Charter be amended to provide that County ordinances adopted after January 1, 2027, shall prevail over conflicting municipal ordinances in the event of conflict, to the extent permitted by law, so that the County may establish regulations and standards on matters affecting residents in both incorporated and unincorporated areas?”
